I’m going to take a wild guess here, but I bet you that each little snippet is taken completely out of context from what The President is actually saying and what he is talking about.

For example, his statement about many Americans having spent time in countries that were predominantly Muslim…

“I know because I am one.”

He’s saying he is one of those many Americans that have spent time in countries where the faith was predominantly Muslim. However, the snippet makes it appear that he is saying he is Muslim.

And if he is Muslim, so what. We live in a country that is based on freedom of religion.
