Bailey, The Unknown Reindeer

Oh, what fun this is! I laughed and laughed. I had a miniature poodle one time who absolutely LOVED the snow. She was so tiny, that it only took about 5 or 6 inches of snow to completely envelope her. She would hop in and out, looking more like a rabbit than a dog. We couldn’t get her to come in the house if there was snow outside. The only thing she liked better than snow was a warm bath in the kitchen sink. So, I would entice her into the house by yelling “BATH TIME“! The poor little thing would be covered in ice balls; but the nice, warm bath melted them rapidly. After I’d blow-dry her fur, she’s be at the back door begging to go out again!

I just know you are going to thoroughly enjoy this 2 1/2 minute clip from You Tube. It’s Bailey’s romp through 54″ of snow in Ward, Colorado to the tune of Harry Connick, Jr.’s “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”.

Until next time!

  2. Oh, Suzanne…that wasn’t MY dog! My dog was a little poodle who would do the same thing in about 5 or 6 inches of snow…LOL. I saw this on YouTube and thought it was amazing and very funny. Thank you for commenting!

  3. What fun! About 30 years ago I had 2 Pekes who absolutely loved romping in the snow! Not nearly this deep though!

  5. Ha! Very funny indeed Judy-
I can’t believe how long he “stayed under”! I also had a dog that loved the snow. When I lived in Chicago my mini schnauzer Maggie loved to jump through the snow. However, she would get exhausted pretty quick…..at least I did while chasing her!

  10. Hi fee…thanks for commenting. I’m sure glad we don’t have that much snow…but my lab, Abby would love it, I’m sure. Whenever we get snow, she goes out and immediately puts her nose in the snow and runs around the yard like a little snow plow…LOL…Welcome back fee, hope to see you back soon

  12. LOL Diane…now there’s a thought! Looks as though he might shovel where you don’t want to go though! I got a big kick out of this…my Abby shovels our patio for us and the rest of the back yard too. She just does it with her nose though…she’s too big a baby to get the rest of her snowy! Thanks for commenting.
